Ilkley Parish Council on the Streets Print

The Council is in the process of consulting Ilkley’s residents about the streets of our town - what events there should be on the streets and the town’s future development. Councillor Stephen Butler, Chairman of Ilkley Parish Council says, “We want to hear what the people of Ilkley have to say, their views are very important and we hope that there will be many responses to our surveys. We also value your feedback on the activities available for young people in Ilkley”.

There is a survey on Survey Monkey about the events which are held from time to time on The Grove, for example, the Continental Market. The Ilkley Business Forum and Parish Council are working together on this. “We would really like to know your views on how good events are and the effect of events on people and business”, says Helen Rhodes, Chairman of Ilkley Business Forum. Ilkley Parish Council’s Neighbourhood Plan Team want to know what everyone thinks about the new Plan being put together on the future development of Ilkley and Ben Rhydding. The Plan will have profound influence on the number of houses, shops and employment sites built between now and 2030, and where they are built. We want as many people as possible to comment on the maps and documents available to inspect around the town and give us your views. The Draft Plan is available to view at the Town Hall, the Library, the Visitor Information Centre, Clarke Foley Centre, Christchurch, Tivoli Café, Ben Rhydding Methodist Church and St John’s Church.
