If you intend to make an award application, please ensure you read the rules and qualifying criteria (found on the first two pages of the application form).

Due to budgetary constraints, applications in respect of items/events which require expenditure within the current financial year will take priority over those applications which are not time critical.

The Awards and Projects Committee deals with all award applications and meets bi-monthly (the dates can be found in the "meeting dates" section and/or on the site calendar). 

Applications of £5,000 or less can be authorised by the Awards and Projects Committee alone. 

Applications of £5,001 or more are still considered by the Awards and Projects Committee but it makes a recommendation which is then submitted for full council approval (or not, as the case may be) at the next full council meeting. 

Applications must be received two full weeks before the Awards and Projects Committee meeting.

Applicants are expected to attend the meeting so as to answer any questions that councillors may have and/or to provide further information. If an applicant does not attend the meeting then the application will be deferred to the following meeting.
